Amar & Mulayam meet PM, Sonia; all set to back Govt

Samajwadi Party leaders Mulayam Singh Yadav and Amar Singh on Friday made it clear that they favoured the Indo-US nuclear deal as they met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress President Sonia Gandhi over the issue.
After their 30-minute meeting with the Prime Minister, Yadav and Amar Singh appeared convinced that the nuclear deal is in the interest of the country and said they would try to convince other UNPA constituents on the issue.
The party, whose 39 MPs in Lok Sabha would be crucial for survival of the government if Left parties withdraw support, are likely to announce its decision on supporting the UPA in a couple of days.
The SP leaders said former President A P J Abdul Kalam had on Thursday elaborately explained to them the benefits of the deal and allayed fears about the national sovereignty or foreign policy being compromised.
"We have been opposing it (nuclear deal) as we did not have any new details. But now these new details have come," Yadav told reporters.
Asked whether they were satisfied with the clarifications given by the PMO in a statement two days back, Yadav said "the entire nation would be satisfied."
Amar Singh said the Prime Minister's statement, addressing point-by-point issues, was "quite satisfactory" but the UNPA had decided to consult some "eminent" and "undisputed" scientist who was identified as Kalam.
He pointed out that the "renowned" scientist Kalam, who has worked a lot in the nuclear field, told them that the country will face "no danger or pressure" because of the deal.
Sounding convinced that the deal is in national interest, both Yadav and Amar Singh said "national interest was a priority to them rather than politics".
They, however, insisted that they had given no commitment to the Prime Minister about extending support as they will have to consult other UNPA leaders.

Commies are Chinese boot lickers, no doubt, but those who support this deal are, undoubtedly, US axs lickers! Or, these 20 people who constantly support the signing of this deal may have vested interests (i.e.,) their wards my be in that filed, or they are looking for green vards for their wards, or they may be want to be faithful SERVANTS to US,AGAIN, as they did when they sold India to U.K. They were the faithful administrators and perennial axs lickers of British. Just because these 20 people and Man Mohan Singh supports this deal we (all Indians) should not BE axs LICKERS OF USA.

Although I consider myself closer to BJP, I have always maintained that Vajpayee and Advani are the two cheeks of a stinking asshole. Now come the other pair of cheeks of another stinking asshole - Mulayam ("in-the-head") Yadav and his Man-Friday Amar Singh. God, what a cast of characters!!!

will the leftist enjoy both side i.e power to fund the lazy people as well as be opposition. Congress will take the cut from nuclear deal and come back to power after people forget their screw up and crash of economy that has hurt so many.After all the hooplaah, will BJP fix things when the top "big fat" leaders want to suck out all the credit for our initiatives during their last term.Whether congress or BJP, Same mafia/cartel will come back but this time, it will be a different thing...NO direct election of PM and CM by people because Indins cannot rise against this cartel.

All Mullah Mulayam and Amar is doing that hide their real reason for supporting congress. APJ even said before also that N-deal is not going to India's interest. The wisdom of people like Sardar Patel, President APJ Kalam or Gen. Maneksaw shall not be questioned.

OK, Mulayam will support Congress and Congress will fill his pockets. But has anyone noticed that Chief of Army Staff is crying about China's massive troop build up in Tibet ? OK, you people get 6% electricity in 15 years time at the cost og 60,000 billion dollars but will India be an independent country or under China or Muslims or Christians ?
