Mumbai, Jun 28 : In what can be termed an innovative approach by an insurance broking firm, click2insure.in is offering free terrorism cover for all Indian citizens above 25 years of age. For this, the Delhi-based company has tied up with state-run non-life insurance company New India Assurance Company.
Speaking to FE, click2insure.in CFO Rahul Aggarwal said Rs 1 lakh would be given to next to the kin of any person who is covered under the policy if he dies due to a terror attack.
The idea was to create awareness among the people of the country about the benefits of an insurance which will further help my company to get more insurance customers, said Aggarwal.
Through this innovative offer, “We want to convey to each and every earning people in the country that there were hosts of insurance policies that were low cost and yet provide big benefits to the policy holders. Some of such products include personal accident and term insurance,’’ he said.
Requesting anonymity, a senior official of New India Assurance Company said, “We have launched the product on Friday itself and we have plans to go for more such products at low cost particularly in the personal accident and household insurance segments in future. Within two hours of launch of the product, 120 people have already got themselves registered for the policy at our website,’’ said Aggarwal.
