Sixty-Three residential plots in Delhi are up for grabs with Delhi Development Authority (DDA) planning to auction the plots on freehold basis in areas like Panchsheel Park, Vasant Kunj, Friends Colony, etc.
The auction has been scheduled for November 17 and 18, and will be held at Vikas Sadan.
“The application form to participate in the bidding can be bought by paying Rs 525. Any citizen of India, public sector banks, and NRI or person of Indian origin can participate in the auction,’’ said Neemo Dhar, DDA spokesperson.
A buyer will have to build the residential structure in accordance with the type, design and other architectural features prescribed by the DDA, said an official. “Sub-division of the plot will not be allowed,’’ he said.
The highest reserve price is for a plot of 668.85 square metres in a housing society in Panchsheel Park. “A reserve price of around Rs 30 crore has been kept for the plot. In Friends Colony, a plot measuring 334 sq m has a reserve price of Rs 15 crore, while in Vasant Kunj, the plot up for auction is spread across 231 sq m and the reserve price has been kept at Rs 6.93 crore,’’ said the official.
Plots are also available at Model Town, Pitampura, Dwarka, Yamuna Vihar, Paschim Vihar, Rohini, Vivek Vihar, Zafarabad, Jasola, Chaukhandi, etc.
A few of the plots are going in for their second auction, they were earlier put up for bidding in March this year. Plots that are in for another auction include the land in Panchsheel Park, Vivek Vihar Phase-I, Zafarabad and Chaukhandi.
Recently, the land agency had trouble while auctioning plots meant for multi-level parking and a banquet hall. “The overall property scenario is not good due to the prevailing financial status (of investors). This has affected all sectors,’’ said an official.
