Police booked three people involved in a brawl over a piece of shamlat land in Madanpur village in Phase II, Mohali. The accused have been identified as Budh Ram and his two sons Ė Mandeep and Kala. All three have been booked for alleged wrongful restraint, causing hurt using dangerous weapons under Sections 341, 323, 324 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code .
According to the complainant Paramjeet Singh of the same village, on Wednesday, the accused allegedly attacked him with sharp-edged weapons after argument broke out between them over the construction of a wall in the shamlat land of the village.
The brother of the victim, upon reaching the spot, rescued him and rushed him to the Civil Hospital in Phase 6. He was discharged from the hospital on Thursday, after which he approached the police.
Medical report of Paramjeet confirmed that he sustained minor injuries and was also attacked with sharp-edged weapons.
