Hyderabad: : Bangalore-based 24/7 Customer.com, a call centre-cum-business process outsourcing company, has set up a 350-seater customer contact centre at the Hi-Tech City near Hyderabad.
The company has acquired nearly 19,000 sq ft area in the Cyber Gateway of L&T Infocity recently and has blocked another 20,000 sq ft area in the same building for future expansion.
When contacted, 24/7 Customer.com’s vice-president T S Hariharan confirmed the developments and told eFE that, the company would start its operations in the next month.
“24x7 intends to pump in a sum of $2-3 million in the first phase and would invest further based on the client’s requirements,” Mr Hariharan said.
According to him, the company would focus on BPO, voice-support customer services, e-mail based customer support services, data entries apart from call centre services.
“We were the first one to receive the Customer Operation Performance Centre (COPC) certification, a worldwide standard for call centres in India,” he said further.
“In order to maintain the business continuity and to have a continuous growth, the company has decided to start operations in Hyderabad, which is the best city after Bangalore with skilled and English speaking professionals,” Mr Hariharan claimed.
The company, with the combined manpower of 1300, would expand its capacity to 3,500 employees in a years time, he said. Currently, Bangalore runs a 700-seater call centre. “
Based on the customers’ request the company has decided to off-load some of its work to Hyderabad centre apart from bringing in new customers in the future,” Mr Hariharan said. Meanwhile, as part of its operations in Hyderabad.
