20-yr-old from Panchkula tops Common Aptitude Test (CAT 2012)
Anshul is among the 10 students across the country scoring 100 percentile. A final-year student of electrical engineering at IIT Ropar, this was his first attempt at cracking the exam.
Garg’s father is a property consultant and his mother, Shyamlata is a home-maker. Garg passed Class X from DC Model School, Panchkula and Class XII from Gyan Public School.
After the result was announced, Anshul Garg said: “I opted for management because I wish to enter in Multi National companies (MNC’s). My first aim is to get an admission into a reputed management institute and then starting up with a job, I want to become an entrepreneur.” Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad is his first choice.
He credited his success to the love and support of his parents and his teachers who, he says guided him all through his journey. Giving advice for CAT takers, Anshul said: “You do not need to study for 10-12 hours a day. A thorough study of 2-3 hours with full concentration and understanding is enough. Do not go for quantitative study but study with a qualitative measure.”
