Addressing a press conference, Additional Director General of Police (Intelligence) H S Dhillon said: “On October 14, Rajesh Tabrasia a salesman for Ridhi Sidhi Jewellers from Mumbai came to Ludhiana on a business trip and had 72 diamond articles worth Rs 25 lakh with him.”

“On October 15, he was approached by ASI Amar Singh and HC Rajinder Singh who said they were from CIA Ludhiana Police and took him to a Balero Camper parked near by and put him in the vehicle with the other three accomplices (Angrez Singh, Manpreet Singh and Malkeet Singh). They started driving towards Delhi. As they crossed Duraha near Ludhiana they turned onto a village road, took the bag from Rajesh and dumped him.
