Bally Sagoo, the famous singer who left his mark with his version of ‘Gur naal ishq mitha’ starring Malaika Arora Khan and Jass Arora in the video, was in the city on Friday to release his new album after a gap of almost 10 years.
“I am proud of being a Punjabi but I have a global audience to cater to and not just Punjabis,” Sagoo said while releasing his album ‘Future Shocks’ at a press conference at Fahranheit.
He added that “poor technical quality of Punjabi music and cliched plots in Punjabi movies is what disappoints him”.
“Future Shock” is Sagoo’s first studio album in almost 10 years. During this time, he composed more than 70 songs. Recorded in Mumbai, Chandigarh, Africa and England, the final result reflects his ethnic roots and his unique style.
On his new release, he said, “To the listeners and followers of my work, who have patiently waited for so long, I hope I made them proud. This is an album that I worked really hard on over the years, discovering some great new voices and putting the right beats together. It has got something for everyone in it.”
