I hold Venkatraman Ramakrishnan in high regard. His parents were also scientists from Tamil Nadu who worked in Gujarat. He had developed an interest in Biology from during his school days. He pursued his interest by studying science at the highest level and obtained a PhD in Biochemistry. He worked on how cells made proteins using ribosomes and also received a Nobel Prize in 2009. Like his predecessors C V Raman and S Chandrashekhar, he has become a pillar of the community and sets an example for others to follow. I would like to follow his footsteps by becoming a scientist who asks unanswered questions.

It is very true that a man cannot attain name and fame without setting an idol for himself. When we set a goal, we set a role model for ourselves whom we can look upto and move forward to achieve our aim. When I was a child, I set up my mind and I always looked upon my father. Yes, my father is my ideal. He is an intelligent scientist. He is highly educated and very responsible. He is very affectionate, caring, polite and calm. He also looks after his parents and love them a lot. He works hard so that we can get good education and bright future. He is the best father in the world. I want to be a sensible, intelligent and calm person like him. I want to become a scientist like him. Therefore, I thank god for giving me a father who can be my role model.
