“A quick chat is often a stress buster”

SummaryWhen I am not travelling, my weekday begins around 6:30am. A quick update on my BlackBerry (as mandatory as brushing teeth) is followed by preparing my 5-year-old for school (I adore doing this!).

1 The job: I love the diversity in my job. There are very few industries where you deal with such diverse user segments (enterprise and consumer), age groups (teens to senior executives), products (devices, services, platforms, software and solutions) and marketing functions (brand, media, insights, channels). I hate the fact that even after a 15-hour work day, I can not truly say I am 100% up-to-date with my work.

2 The weekdays: When I am not travelling, my weekday begins around 6:30am. A quick update on my BlackBerry (as mandatory as brushing teeth) is followed by preparing my 5-year-old for school (I adore doing this!). The drive to office is a good time to catch up with my non-Mumbai based team and colleagues on phone. Office is generally a 11-hour day. While the day is a rush with meetings and discussions, lunch is a good time to catch up with colleagues. I try and ensure a 10-minute walk soon after. I am fortunate to have made good friends within the office; a quick chat is often a stress buster. I don’t appreciate the number of mails that fill my inbox every day; I rather prefer a quick call or a face-to-face discussion.

3 The weekend: Weekends are a good time to catch up on reading. I am a passionate sportsman and tennis is a top priority during weekends. I also enjoy a quiet evening home with family, especially on Sundays

4 The toys: It is the BlackBerry smartphone (right now it is the Porsche Design) and my BlackBerry PlayBook. I am an avid movie and music lover; my home theatre is therefore a prized possession.

5 The logos: I am very loyal to Nike. Some of the other brands close to my heart are Oakley, Ralph Lauren and Levi's.
