aadhaar bank account linking, SBI account to Aadhaar linking via ATMs and SMS, SBI bank account to Aadhaar linking, aadhaar, bank account, December 31 2017, The government has made it mandatory to link all bank accounts to Aadhaar by December 31, 2017, failing which the accounts will become invalid.

Are you a State Bank of India (SBI) customer and want to link your Aadhaar number to your SBI account? Or have got a message from the bank to do so? Here’s some good news for you. SBI allows its customers to link their bank accounts to their Aadhaar number in various ways, including their ATM channel and through SMS. You can also get it done by visiting any of their branches or through Internet banking.

It may be noted that the government has made it mandatory to link all bank accounts to Aadhaar by December 31, 2017, failing which the accounts will become invalid. Aadhaar has now also been made mandatory for opening bank accounts as well as for financial transactions of Rs 50,000 and above. It is, thus, in your own interest to link your Aadhaar number to all your bank accounts as soon as possible.

So far as your SBI bank account is concerned, you can link it to your Aadhaar number in any of the following ways:

Aadhaar linking through SBI Internet Banking portal

# If you are an Internet banking user, then you can log into www.onlinesbi.com and access the link ‘Link your Aadhaar number’ under ‘My Accounts’, appearing on the left panel of the screen.

# On clicking the above link, you will be directed to a screen where you have to select the Account number, input the Aadhaar number and click on Submit.

# The last 2 digits of registered mobile number (non-editable) will be displayed to the customer.

# Status of mapping will be advised to the Customer’s registered mobile number.

Aadhaar linking through ATM channel

# You can access any of SBI ATMs and seed your Aadhaar with your bank account.

# After swiping the ATM card and entering your PIN, Select the menu ‘Service – Registrations’

# In this menu, select Aadhaar Registration (or Inquiry as per your need)

# You can now select the Account type (Savings/Checking) after which you will be asked to enter your Aadhaar number. You will be prompted to re-enter the same.

Aadhaar linking through SMS

# If your mobile number is registered with SBI, then you can send SMS to 567676 in the following format UID(space)Aadhaar number(space)Account number.

# If the mobile number is not registered or in case the Aadhaar is already linked to account, an SMS reply will be sent to you.

# If your mobile number is registered with the bank, you will receive an SMS confirmation of the seeding request.

# The Aadhaar number will be verified by the bank with UIDAI. In case it fails verification, SMS will be sent to you to contact any SBI branch along with Aadhaar number or e-Aadhaar.

Aadhaar linking through SBI Branch channel

# You can visit any SBI branch with a copy of your Aadhaar number or e-Aadhaar.

# At the branch, a Letter of Request will be obtained from you along with the Xerox copy of the Aadhaar letter.

# After necessary verification, the linking will be done by the branch. An SMS will be sent to your registered mobile number regarding the status of the seeding.

I changed by old vodafone no. to a new reliance no. successfully. All banking related sms are receiving to my new reliance no. Today I tried to link my Aadhaar to sbi account and I noticed that the uneditable mobile no. in the aadhaar linking section is still showing my old vodafone no. which is still active and is used by someone. In the mobile no. change section of my profile page on SBI online, there is my new reliance no. This is crazy, I'm not able to link my aadhaar with the old number still there in the aadhaar linking section sbi netbanking. Can anyone help me to fix this issue?

Poor and out dated services provide by State Bank of India. I have tried all the above from the last one year but till now status is failure. Even I have submitted copy of my Aadhaar Card in my branch but till now getting sms alert for Aadhaar linking. You can't see and find out your SBI A/C linked with Aadhaar or not as I have found AXIS, Kotak and ICICI all the bank displaying the status of Aadhaar linking in profile section. Very bad and out dated system of State Bank of India.

Correctly commented by Mr.Naresh Sharmaji. Rules are for only for customers. Though their systems are not functioning properly or are not provided also, they want us to comply. Very poor response in our country from the authorities. Alas, we are in the receiving end

The validity of Aadhaar and whether the state can compulsorily link Aadhaar to various programs and all financial transactions have been challenged in the Supreme Court. On 24 August 2017, a nine-judge bench ruled against the central government to declare that privacy is a fundamental right under the Consti-tution of India. The Supreme Court is set to hear peti-tions challenging the validity and other aspects of Aadhaar in the first week of November this year. So just wait for the verdict.

UK’s Biometric ID Database was dismantled. Why the United Kingdom's biometrics-linked National Identi-ty Card project to create a centralized register of sensitive information about residents similar to Aadhaar was scrapped in 2010?? The reasons were the massive threat posed to the privacy of people, the possibility of a surveillance state, the dangers of maintaining such a huge centralized repository of sensitive information, and the purposes it could be used for, and the dangers of such a centralized database being hacked. The other reasons were the unreliability of such a large-scale biometric verification processes, and the ethics of using biometric identification.

The US Social Security Number (SSN) card has no biometric details, no photograph, no physical description and no birth date. All it does is confirm that a particular number has been issued to a particular name. Instead, a driving license or state ID card is used as an identification for adults. The US government does not collect the biometric details of its own citizens.

Your #AADHAAR is deactivated till voluntarily sleep with #AADHAAR mongers and satisfy them completely 4. Your #AADHAAR is deactivated till you donate eye/kidney/liver/pancreas You will not be able to refuse once you link #AADHAAR with everything else, since once #AADHAAR gets deactivated your bank, mobile, internet, property, gas, electricity access will be blocked. Stop linking #AADHAAR with anything else now, apply Fevicol in both thumbs before you are forced to give fingerprint, without bio-metrics #AADHAAR ios just a piece of paper. Jai Hind.
