Advanced Enzyme Technologies, Apollo Tyres, Century Textiles & Industries, Energy Development Company, Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals, Heritage Foods, IL&FS Transportation Networks and Dr. Lal Path Labs were among 58 stocks that hit fresh 52-week high on NSE on Monday as stock markets extended gains for fourth day in a row. Stock markets started the day on a flat note in the absence of any triggers as investors remained cautious ahead of US Federal Reserve meeting slated this week. Sensex ended the day 35.47 points up to close at 28,634.50, while NSE Nifty settled the day 28.55 points up at 8,808.40.
Heritage Foods remained in focus after the company said it is in talks with Kishore Biyani-led Future Group for a possible stake sale to the home-grown retail major, whereas Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals hogged limelight after it informed bourses that it has signed pacts with Chematur Engineering AB, Sweden for procuring technology, know-how, basic engineering services with IBI Chematur (Engineering & Consultancy) Ltd, India for procuring detailed engineering and project management services for the establishment of 14,000 mtpa Hydrogen Peroxide Plant at Dahej.
On Monday’s market movement, Jayant Manglik, president, retail distribution, Religare Securities Ltd said, ” Firm Asian markets led a positive start but prevailing cautiousness ahead policy meet of two major central banks, Bank of Japan and US Fed, capped upside. Meanwhile, participants largely kept their focus on midcap and smallcap counters from across the board.”
Phoenix Lamps, Super Spinning Mills, TVS Motor Company, Raymond, and United Breweries (Holdings) were among other stocks that hot 52-week high on NSE.
However, stocks of companies – Orient Green Power, Parsvnath Developers, Ruchi Infrastructure, Sanghvi Forging and Engineering and Sharon Bio-Medicine were among 23 stocks that hit fresh 52-week low on NSE on Monday.
