The BSE Sensex closed 104.91 points, or 0.36 per cent down at 28668.22, while Nifty 50 index settled 35.90 points, or 0.40 per cent down at 8,831.55. In the Nifty 50 index, Reliance Industries, Dr Reddy’s Labs, TCS, HCL Technologies and HDFC gained between 0.75 per cent and 1.17 per cent. On the other hand, Axis Bank, ACC, Ambuja Cement, Lupin and Aurobindo Pharma slipped between 2.39 per cent and 5.98 per cent. According to market experts profit booking and weak opening in European markets dampened market sentiments on Friday.
3.14 pm: Sensex was trading 116.52 points down at 28656. Nifty was down 42.20 points at 8825. IT major Infosys was trading 1.62 per cent down at 1,041.65.

2.08 pm: Uttam Sugar Mills were trading 1.43 per cent down at 61.95. The company has obtained Industrial Entrepreneurs Memorandum (IEM) from Ministry of Commerce and Industry for Enhancement, Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion (DIPP) for enhancement in the Distillery (Ethanol) capacity to double from its existing capacity i.e. from 22,500 kilo litre to 45,000 kilo litre.
1.31 pm: Sensex was down 17.80 points at 28.755. In the 50-share index, HCL Technologies, Reliance Industries, BPCL, ONGC and Cipla were up between 0.96 per cent and 1.78 per cent. On the other hand, Axis Bank, Lupin, ACC, Ambuja Cement and Tata Motors DVR were down between 0.85 per cent and 4.20 per cent.
12.55 pm: GNA Axles, which recently concluded its initial public offer (IPO), will list its shares on the
bourses on Monday (September 26).
12.33 pm: Raymond’s unlisted subsidiary – Ring Plus Aqua (RPAL) has entered into a Share Purchase Agreement with Neel Metals Products, to transfer by way of sale its entire equity share holding of 1,04,30,631 equity shares in its 50:50 Joint Venture Company namely ‘Rose Engineered Products India’ (ROSE). Consequent to said transaction ROSE ceases to be an associate of RPAL and Raymond. The Enterprise Value of ROSE was arrived at Rs 20.19 crore. Shares of Raymond were trading 2.03 per cent up at Rs 539.35.

10.35 am: Meanwhile, shares of L&T Technology Services listed on BSE and NSE. The scrip listed at premium of 7 per cent on NSE and 5 per cent on BSE against the issue price of Rs 860. Sensex was down 30 points at 28,743. Nifty was down 9.65 points at 8,857.
9.58 am: Wipro’s fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) arm — Wipro Consumer Care & Lighting — has reportedly entered into agreement to buy 100 per cent stake in Zhongshan Ma Er Daily Products to boost its presence in the fast-growing toiletries and liquid detergent space in south China. Shares of the company were trading 0.19 per cent down at Rs 480.60.
9.25 am: Shares of Morepen Labs surged over 8 per cent after media reports that Piramal Enterprises is looking to buy OTC biz of the company.
9.16 am: Sensex was down 55.04 points at 28718.09. Nifty was down 11 points at 8,856. ABG Shipyard was trading 3.29 per cent up at Rs 33. Dr Reddy’s Labs, RIL, L&T were also trading in green in the early trade.
9.15 am: The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty opened on a flat note with positive bias tracking mixed global cues. The BSE Sensex opened 37.19 points, or 0.13 per cent, up at 28810.32, while NSE Nifty opened 13.30 points, or 0.15 per cent, up at 8880.75.
The 30-share index on Thursday advanced over 350 points intraday tracking upbeat global cues after the US Federal Reserve left rates unchanged. The index closed 266 points higher at 28773.13.
