Suzlon Energy shares fell over 8 per cent on Monday after its consolidated net loss has narrowed down to 113.17 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, on the back of increased volume and better operating margins.
The loss in the year-ago period was at Rs 6,538.68 crore, Suzlon Energy said in a regulatory filing.
The total income for the company declined to Rs 1,891.30 crore from Rs 4,977.15 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal.
At 3.15 pm, Suzlon Energy shares were trading 8.37 per cent down at Rs 18.60. The scrip opened at Rs 20.60 and has touched a high and low of Rs 20.70 and Rs 18.55, respectively, in trade so far. Later, the scrip ended 8.37 per cent down at Rs 18.60.
So far, around 142.93 lakh shares of Suzlon Energy exchanged hands on the BSE as compared with two-week average daily volume of 78.97 lakh shares.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 21.15% while Public and Others held 78.85% and 0.21% respectively.
