Motherson Sumi: Shares of the auto component company plunged after its biggest client, Volkswagen, admitted to rigging American emissions norms and thereafter halting sales of diesel cars in the US market with immediate effect. Volkswagen accounts for 44 per cent of Motherson Sumi’s consolidated revenue, Bloomberg data showed. The share price of the company closed 7.72 per cent down at Rs 241.90 on Tuesday
Lupin: Lupin stocks gained in mornign trade after Japanese brokerage firm Nomura upgraded the stocks of pharma major to ‘Buy’ from ‘Neutral’ citing the high impact drug approvals will drive company’s earnings from Q4 onwards. Later, the Lupin shares wiped off day’s gains and closed 0.68 per cent down at Rs 1,868.48 apiece.
Infosys: Infosys shares rallied after country’s second largest IT services exporter bagged a Rs 1,380-crore contract from the Centre to build technology infrastructure for Goods and Services Tax Network (GSTN). The share price of the IT major closed 0.08 per cent up at Rs 1,105.50.
