Atul Ltd: The company reported 4.12 per cent fall in its net profit at Rs 82.32 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2016 as compared to Rs 85.86 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, the company’s total income has increased by 7.12 per cent to Rs 748.92 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 699.12 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

Unichem Labs: Unichem Laboratories reported a 11.28 per cent dip in standalone net profit to Rs 20.52 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2016. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 23.13 crore for the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.

ACC: ACC has reported 28.14 per cent fall in its net profit at Rs 84.10 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2016 as compared to Rs 117.03 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company decreased by 9.36 per cent at Rs 2544.96 crore for the quarter under review as compared Rs 2807.77 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

Reliance IndustriesReliance Industries on Thursday posted a 23 per cent drop in its second-quarter net profit as compared to last year’s figure, which was boosted by income from sale of US shale gas assets. Consolidated net profit in July-September at Rs 7,206 crore, was 22.9 per cent lower than Rs 9,345 crore in the same period a year ago.

HCL Technologies: HCL Technologies on Friday (before market hours) reported 1.93 per cent fall in consolidated net profit at Rs 2,015.60 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2016 against Rs 2,055.20 crore in the sequential quarter ended June 30, 2016.

JM Financial: JM Financial’s subsidiary company – JM Financial Products has executed the agreement(s) on October 20, 2016 to acquire equity shares representing up to 24.50 per cent (on a fully diluted basis) of the total paid up equity share capital of India Home Loan (IHL) through secondary purchase and/or preferential allotment route.

Gulf Oil Lubricants: Hinduja Group firm Gulf Oil Lubricants reported a 28 per cent increase in net profit for the quarter ended September 30 to Rs 30.2 crore against Rs 23.6 crore in the corresponding period year-ago.

Biocon: Biotechnology major Biocon reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 146.7 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2016. The company had posted a net loss of Rs 10.6 crore for the corresponding period of the previous fiscal, Biocon said in a filing to BSE.

Syngene International: Biocon’s contract research arm Syngene International on Thursday posted 54.02 per cent rise in its net profit at Rs 74.7 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, driven by discovery and R&D centre business verticals.
