The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty fell for fourth day in a row on Thursday, tumbling by over two percentage points as China accelerated the depreciation of the yuan, sparking sharp falls in regional equity and currency markets.
Markets ended at 4-month low as the benchmark BSE Sensex ended 554.50 points down at 24,851.83. NSE Nifty on the other hand plunged 172.70 down at 7,568.30.

Titan: Shares of the company closed 1.19 per cent down at Rs 344.05. Tata Group company Titan and global luxury firm Maison Montblanc, which have formed a joint venture to open latter’s retail outlets in India, will invest around Rs 250 crore in the next five years to take the store count to 50.
Kalpataru Power Transmission: Shares of the company closed 1.04 per cent down at Rs 248.05. Kalpataru acquired 100 per cent equity share capital of an SPV Company Alopurduar Transmission Ltd (ATL), a wholly owned subsidary of REC Transmission Projects Company Ltd.
Indiabulls Wholesale Services: Shares of the company closed 9.96 per cent up at Rs 14.35. BSE on Wednesday revised the circuit limits for share movement of Indiabulls Wholesale Services and 26 other companies, as part of its surveillance action. The new limits, which ensure that stock prices do not go up or down beyond a level during a trading session, will be effective from tomorrow.
Corporation Bank: Shares of the company closed 3.19 per cent down at Rs 40.95. Corporation Bank on Wednesday said it will buy 4 per cent stake in LIC Nomura Mutual Fund Asset Management Company from existing shareholders for Rs 5.67 crore. The bank is going to acquire 4 per cent shareholding from the existing shareholder namely Nomura Asset Management Strategic Investments PTE Limited of LIC Nomura Mutual Fund Asset Management Company Ltd, Corporation Bank said in a regulatory filing.
United Breweries & ICICI Bank: ICICI Bank, the country’s largest private sector lender, on Wednesday picked up 19.58 lakh shares of United Breweries Limited for a little over Rs 186 crore through an open market transaction. The shares were offloaded by United Breweries (Holdings) Ltd, a promoter of United Breweries.
NBCC: State-run construction firm NBCC on Wednesday said it has bagged contracts worth Rs 8,523 crore in last month. “Secured total business amounting to Rs 8,523 crore (approximately) in the month of December,” the company said in a BSE filing.
