Hotel Leelaventure shares gained as much as 8.43 per cent on Wednesday after the hospitality major reported net profit of Rs 162.19 crore for the third quarter ended December 2015, on account of an exceptional gain from the sale of Goa hotel. The company had posted net loss of Rs 125.04 crore in the same quarter a year ago.
At 3.14 pm, shares of Hotel Leelaventure were trading 5.34 per cent up at Rs 18.75. The scrip opened at Rs 17.90 and had touched a high and low of Rs 19.30 and Rs 17.50, respectively, in trade so far. Later, the share price of the company closed 5.34 per cent up at Rs 18.75.
Net sales of Hotel Leelaventure during the period under review stood at Rs 184.31 crore as against Rs 180.59 crore in the same quarter a year-ago. The company reported exceptional gain of Rs 181.69 crore
from sale of its ‘Goa Hotel Undertaking’.
In the past one year, the share price of Hotel Leelaventure plunged 17.78 per cent to Rs 17.80 on Feb 9, 2016. Sensex fell 15 per cent during the same period.
