Godrej Properties sells over 1,000 apartments, shares hit record high

Godrej Properties on Wednesday informed the exchanges that it has sold over 1000 apartment in Mumbai, Pune and Noida across three new projects since March 2017. Cheering the news, the stocks of the company touched their record high and jumped over 15 per cent intra-day. The share price has opened at Rs 512.90 and touched a high and low of Rs 585.05 and Rs 512.90 in trade so far. At 12.04 pm, the share price was trading 10.59 per cent at 558.60. Sensex was trading 3.56 points up at 29,924.74 during the same time.

In a BSE filing the company said, “Godrej Properties has sold over 1,000 apartments across three new project launches – Godrej Origins at The Trees in Mumbai, The Suits at Godrej Golf Links in Greater Noida and Godrej 24 at Hinjawadi, Pune – since March 2017.”

Pirojsha Godrej, executive chairman, Godrej Properties on the sales figure said, “We are very pleased with this strong response to our new launches across the country. We look forward to building on this momentum in the months ahead.”

Elaborating on the sales, the company said that Godrej Origins at The Trees in Mumbai witnessed sales of 130 apartments within the first week of launch. The Suites at Godrej Links in Greater Noida received a tremendous response with 500 apartments being sold within the first month of its launch. Godrej 24 in Pune saw sales of over 450 apartments within the launch weekend.

Last month, Godrej Properties entered into partnership with the Taj Group of Hotels to build a 150-room luxury hotel at its Trees Project in Mumbai. These kind of projects, which are much in vogue these days, would include a hotel and retail segment in addition to a central residential piece.
