AkzoNobel India Q4 net profit up 18 per cent to Rs 72.64 cr

Paints and coating maker AkzoNobel India today reported 18.13 per cent increase in standalone net profit at Rs 72.64 crore for the January-March quarter of 2016-17.

Paints and coating maker AkzoNobel India today reported 18.13 per cent increase in standalone net profit at Rs 72.64 crore for the January-March quarter of 2016-17. The company had posted a net profit at Rs 61.49 crore during the same period of last fiscal, AkzoNobel India said in a BSE filing.
Total income from operations during the quarter under review stood at Rs 781.58 crore as against Rs 711.41 crore in the year-ago period.  “We have sprung back after demonetisation with both coatings and chemicals segments recording strong volume growth which is reflected in the full year’s revenue growth and underlying business profitability,” AkzoNobel India Managing Director Jayakumar Krishnaswamy said.  For the entire fiscal, the company reported a standalone net profit at Rs 247 crore compared to Rs 214.19 crore in 2015-16.  The company said its board has recommended a dividend of Rs 22 per share for 2016-17.
