‘I like my coffee strong.’ Heard that often? Well apparently a cafe in Australia’s Adelaide will make it so strong that you’ll have to think twice. The Ass Kicker, yes that’s what it is called and aptly so, is 80 times more stronger than the standard espresso! Claiming it to be the strongest coffee ever, the owner of the cafe vouches for it.
Viscous Cafe in Adelaide is the proud brewer of this version of coffee.
It is believed that the first time the Coffee originated was when an Emergency department nurse needed to stay awake for two days and after drinking it, she could hold on for three!
Viscous Cafe owner Steve Benington however adds that this is still the toned down version considering the fatality of the effects. The caffeine amount however is halved in this beverage, to be precise only 5g. The Ass Kicker is made using four shots of espresso, eight frozen cubes of ‘cold drip’ coffee and 10-day brewed liquid cold-drip coffee, that’s how it gets its kicker element.
While the claim has been approved by all those who drank it, the health risks cannot be sidelined. Those with high BP should avoid such a fatal dose.
While there are two sizes available, smaller for $10 and the larger for $16, caffeine levels as per Benington are altered as per the customer requirements.
