Raaz Reboot collection: Emraan Hashmi, Kriti Kharbanda starrer has been doing adequately well considering there was virtually no hype built up around the movie at all unlike in its previous avatars. In fact, considering that Hashmi is the lead actor, even the kissing scenes are limited virtually to the point to being missing in action, and the other thing the franchise is known for, which is sex scenes, then that is totally missing. The USP, if that is what it can be referred to, has been snipped by the filmmakers!
The scare quotient in Raaz Reboot too is not of the calibre that one would expect of a franchise that has been released now for the fourth time. The idea and the intention are there to turn it into a horror movie, but the implementation has fallen short. Considering the slick movies that are nowadays hitting the screen which obliterate any and all differences between fact and fiction and leave viewers quaking in their seats, Raaz Reboot leaves one feeling totally dissatisfied with the offering.
The film has not even won the support of critics who have roundly panned it for its immature representation. With hardly any saving grace, the movie is still alive in cinemas and it is keeping the cash registers ringing, even though quite slowly.
With the movie now in cinemas for the 5th day, the collections have continued to increase slowly but steadily. By Tuesday, Raaz Reboot has managed to earn a total of Rs 22.97 crore in the Indian market.
This has been possible on the back of mostly what was collected during the opening weekend. While it collected Rs 6.30 crore on day 1 (Friday), it managed Rs 5.49 cr on Saturday and another Rs 6.30 crore on Sunday. The working week saw this plunge to as low as Rs 2.61 cr , which fell further to Rs 2.27 cr on Tuesday for an Indian market total of Rs 22.97 cr.
The fact that Raaz Reboot is still alive in cinemas is a big surprise. The filmmakers and the concerned actors must really be heaving a big sigh of relief. And because of this, its life has been extended and it will continue to reel in the crowds to an extent through to the end of the week. Also, it is getting a conditional word of mouth boost. It looks to have won the admiration of a certain limited section of viewers and they are saying the right things about the movie.
