Mahendra Singh Dhoni, one man whose name is enough to bring credibility. And with his track record as one of India’s most successful captain, wicket keeper and batsman, we coudn’t be more proud of the Ranchi boy! And if there’s a movie on his life, how can we possibly dare miss it.
‘MS Dhoni-The Untold Story’- the movie on India’s Captain Cool is slated to hit the theatres soon and Dhoni is a busy man along with the film’s leading man Sushant Singh Rajput.
Dhoni talked about his film to the media and how he wished his biopic not to ‘glorify’him. Sounding like the perfect grounded Sportsperson that he is, Dhoni said he wanted the movie to potray his journey into the Indian Cricket Team rather than anything else. And that’s what he told the film’s director Neeraj Pandey when the script was on the table.
Dhoni talked about how he relived all those moments of his life when he saw the uncut version of the film and got nostalgic. “All those things that had happened became fresh in my memory – from where I lived, how my school was, where we played. I went blank. It was nice to be in the past for a moment and you get a view of what others think about me. I have never talked to my parents about cricket and it was nice to get a glimpse of what they really thought about me,” he said.
The biopic also stars newcomers Disha Patni and Kiara Advani. While Disha will be playing Dhoni’s love interest, Kiara plays his wife Sakshi Rawat.
Presently the man is touring in New York promoting the movie along with wife Sakshi.
