It was August 2011 when world first saw India’s anti-corruption crusader Anna Hazare locking horns with an adamant central government in demand of a new law to curb widespread corruption in the system. While a nation of 100 crore people watched, Anna Hazare went on an indefinite hunger strike to fight it out till his last breath. The support Anna received in return, was something a generation had never witnessed. The movement which was started in demand for a stringent law against corruption, soon became a symbol of India’s unity and democratic freedom in 21st century.
The story of 74-year-old Anna Hazare inspired many at that time too. But the movement had every ingredient to be made into a movie, especially a biopic. Now, five years after the iconic movement, a movie on the life of Anna Hazare is all set to hit theaters. The teaser of the movie was released on Thursday.

The teaser shows documented clips on Anna’s movement at Delhi’s Ram Leela Maidan and gives a sneak-peak into Hazare’s personal life as well. It also features Anna as an Army soldier and shows the moments when Anna broke his days-long fast against corruption.
