Shopclues offer: Online shopping festival sales have started and these have been greeted with great gusto by consumers as there are a huge number of products available at discounted prices. Online marketplace ShopClues says that its sale includes products priced at a starting Rs 99 and that there are a number of other offers whose prices have been discounted by as much as 80%. ShopClues has promised lower prices than every other ecommerce major and at this rate, the consumers may find deals that really appeal to their wallets in the ongoing Shopclues sale.
ShopClues is offering over 300,000 products under Rs 499 in home & kitchen category. In the fashion category, the online marketplace is offering over 10,00,000 products with the starting price of Rs 99. In general utilities category, ShopClues is offering discounts of up to 80%. The products on sale range from car accessories, gifting, beauty products to travel and luggage. Shopclues focus is on mass market category, mostly for tier-II and tier-III categories cities.
ShopClues sale started on October 1, alongside that of Amazon Great Indian Festival, and since then the e-retailer has registered 260% order growth just from tier 2 and tier 3 SME’s when compared to Diwali sale in 2015. The Capital Wings adoption by ShopClues merchants has grown 700%. The portal is at present offering over 6 crore stock-keeping units (SKUs) for its mega sale #ItneKumMein. In fact, Shopclues has been adding sellers and building its catalogue and over the last year or so has beaten Snapdeal in the number of SKUs. a Morgan Stanely report says Shopclues has 16 mn SKUs, Flipkart 20 mn and Amazon 19 mn, while Snapdeal has 10 mn.
The online shopping frenzy at ShopClues in various categories like home and kitchen, electronic appliances, fashion and more has shown a big surge in numbers, according to the online marketplace. ShopClues has seen a rise in merchant Inquiry by 200% from Tier 2 and 3 cities – it is receiving 4,000 queries per day on merchant registration and its product offering has risen 300%.
The festive season sales are now at a high and huge numbers across the board are being generated. This includes growth figures, revenue and much else. To ensure consumer interest, ShopClues has created product assortments especially meant for these areas by getting the merchants to craft standout deals to generate maximum sales during this festive season. Among them was an initiative meant for its seller base called ‘Big Business Boom’ that had the motto, ‘Business Badhaao, Diwali Manaao’.
