Delhi University students are often known for their fashion sense and College fests but for a pleasant surpsie, 21 students from the University have made their mark in the Guiness Book of World Records.
The record for building the laregst pyramid made of plastic cups was established by Kushagra Tayal and 21 of his other friends. A student of the prestigious Hansraj College, this was his fourth attempt at the record. They not just managed to make a place for themselves but with their pyramid of 57000 plastic cups, these students broke the previous record attributed to a Mexican teen for 43000 plastic cups pyramid.
The pyramid which was built at Delhi’s Thyagraj Stadium is 22-ft tall. While building it wasn’t a cake walk, the continous effort since last Wednesday bore the fruit and Kushagra managed to live his dream.
A badminton and drum player, Kushagra was keen on the idea of getting his name in the presitioug record but owing to his back pain, he couldn’t opt for these two options. And that’s when this third idea clicked.
After three failed attempts, this fourth one was surely Tayal’s moment to glory. And if you thought it took a lot of thought, Kushagra says the idea striked him in an instant while sipping coffee. Well, that’s how great things happen!
