The Trivandrum Government Medical College on Friday issued a circular asking girls to not wear “leggings, short tops and jeans in the campus.” The notice states a set of rules that have been implemented to the MBBS course to ensure regular attendance and at the bottom of it, certain Do’s and Don’t for both ‘gents’ and ‘ladies’ can be seen.

The notice states that the want the students to be dressed formally. While, the boys have been ordered to maintain a ‘neat and clean dress and appearance with formal dress and shoes’, women have been asked to wear formals which specifically mean ‘churidar or saree’ and that their hair must be ‘put up’.

Significantly, the girls are asked not to wear “leggings, short tops and jeans in the campus.”

    indian people have become totally mad. They are even trying to undermine the rightd Indian consution has given us ! This is outrageous !!! They are not asking men to wear dhotis, then why should girls wear outdated clothing?. In changing times, we should accept changes and reject out stupid and useless traditions
