Does one need IIT degree to work for Oracle? Why did they go to IIT in the first place denying opportunity to someone who could have been better trained in science and engineering with required cogency to spearhead in research? These are business positions, and we have a lots of MBAs. Has IIT changed its mandate from Science and Technology education to Business curricula? Were they cleared by a requisite act of parliament to do so?

saumen sengupta you have put up very good point but these days no of entrepreneurs from IIT or IITians and IIMites as well as those joining public and pvt companies in India have increased mively compared to 10 or 20 years ago! my own friend and ex clmates from school are working in India who have graduate from IIT/IIM/ISB/Harvard/Columbia/Berkley etc! Things are looking very bright for India! At the end to each his own! I do love my country but I suffer from severe asthma, allergies and sinus so my respiratory system is quite ed! the best healthy years of my life when I was in London for 2 years! Neither do I blame myself nor india for this! I try to do with what I can! but given a chance I would be super ecstatic to move to Europe/Aus/USA simply for health reasons! In USA and UK indians are extremely well respected 2nd most amongst Asians after anese and along with the Chinese! so let us rejoice this wonderful news barring the bad journalism!

this is misguiding and bad journalism! they are offered crores or near crores ries mostly by foreign companies ie they would be earning in dollars or pounds but spending in dollars and pounds respectively and not in indian currency! also there is PPP and standard of living index ie 1 dollar in USA or 1 pound in UK would buy more things than Rs 1 in India value would be 1 USD = 20 INR in Delhi and 1 GBP = 25 INR in delhi!
