Good news: Wonderchef Home Appliances aims to employ 1 lakh women across India by 2020

As of now, more than 50,000 women are employed under Wonderchef as Members and Entrepreneurs across India through its D2H (direct to home sales) network.

On the occasion of International Women’s Day on March 8, Wonderchef Home Appliances is creating employment opportunities for women across the country; thereby empowering the lives of around 1 lakh women by 2020. Wonderchef is a joint venture headed by celebrity chef Sanjeev Kapoor and entrepreneur Ravi Saxena. Wonderchef is known for its quality kitchen utensils and appliances that enables healthy cooking.

As of now, more than 50,000 women are employed under Wonderchef as Members and Entrepreneurs across India through its D2H (direct to home sales) network.

The Wonderchef family is educating & enhancing families on the benefits of healthy cooking and how to make regular meals more nutritious and safe for their loved ones, family, friends and relatives.

The direct sales network business accounts for sales of over $750 million in India and is continuing to emerge as feasible option for women, particularly housewives. The direct selling industry engages around 5.8 million people. According to KPMG, this figure could rise to 18 million by 2025. Direct sellers constitute a significant chunk of women. Women presently constitute 3.4 million and their numbers are expected to rise significantly to 10.6 million by 2025.

Ravi Saxena, the Managing Director of Wonderchef, talking about the D2H network said, “Wonderchef takes pride in being a women centric organisation.
