DU admission 2016: The process of admission to over 60,000 seats in Delhi University’s undergraduate courses began today on its official website du.ac.in. The online registration process started at 12 noon and will continue till June 19. The first cut-off list will be announced on June 27 and unlike previous years, the DU will release only five cut-off lists. Students just need to log into the website, register and fill the application form.
The students will have three days to complete the enrollment process following publication of each list. The merit lists for the remaining seats after admissions conclude for the fifth cut-off, will be announced by respective colleges. The centralised Optical Mark Recognition (OMR)forms will be available on official website and students will have to make the payment through Internet banking. The fee for General category students is Rs 100 whereas for SC/ST students the admission form will cost Rs 50.
Apart from filling the form for DU admissions students will also have to upload copy of self attested class 10, 12 mark sheets and reserved category certificate. The size of the file should not be more than 200 KB. Similarly, the photograph and signature should also not be more than 50Kb each. Starting this year, the students applying under the sports and extra-curricular activities (ECA) quota can also select the sports and ECA through the centralised admission form.
Students only had an offline application filling option till last year and students had to complete the admission formalities manually after announcement of the cut-off list but this time DU has come up with the online registration process.
