CBSE results 2016 class 12: Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is likely to declare CBSE class 12 result 2016 on May 21 on its official websites cbseresults.nic.in and results.nic.in (and results.gov.in). The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will also make the official announcement soon regarding the result declaration. CBSE Class 12 examinations were conducted between March 1 to April 22.

Although there is no official confirmation, the initial declaration date i.e May 27, 2016 has been scrapped and now the CBSE results 2016 will be announced on May 23, 2016. Like the previous year, CBSE class 10 results 2016 will be declared first, which is likely to be announced in the third week of May 2016 and thereafter CBSE 12th.

This year, a total of 10,67,900 candidates registered for the CBSE 2016 class 12 exam as against 10,40,368 in 2015. Delhi (including foreign schools) and Panchkula registered the highest number of candidates with Delhi on 2.9 lakh for class 10 and 2.7 lakh for Class 12 board. Panchkula registered 2.2 lakh for class 10 and 1.7 for class 12. In 2016, some 14,99,122 CBSE board candidates registered and appeared for the CBSE class 12th (XII) examination 2016.

Students who have appeared for CBSE 2016 class 12 exam would be anxious to know the results especially those who faced the extremely difficult and lengthy Mathematics paper. However, CBSE sought to calm them down by releasing an official notification stating that remedial measures will be taken while reviewing the Mathematics paper.

Here are the steps to check CBSE results 2016 class 12:

1. Visit the official websites cbseresults.nic.in or results.nic.in (or results.gov.in)
2. On the CBSE home page you will see a link pointing to CBSE class 12 result 2016
3. Enter your roll number carefully and click on submit
4. Your CBSE class 12 result 2016 will pop up
5. Download the result
6. Take print out for future reference

Delhi University is also likely to open its admission on the day of declaration of the CBSE class 12 result 2016. The first Delhi University cut-offs are likely to be issued on June 26, which is a Sunday and admissions will start from the very next day.

Indeed, it will be a busy admission season for students as they will have to rush from college to college and perhaps from state to state to find a a suitable college to get admission.
