Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 is all set to be launched at an event that will take place in China on September 11. Earlier, last week Xiaomi took to Weibo, a Chines micro-blogging website and confirmed that the successor to Mi MIX is coming. The Chinese company along with confirming the launch date also shared an image of the new upcoming Mi MIX 2 which pointed towards the bezel-less screen of the smartphone. The company has now released a video teaser which notes that Xiaomi will also announce another device at the Sept 11 launch event. This will be the Mi Note 3 and it has also been hinted by Xiaomi co-founder Lin Bin.
The way Xiaomi launched the Mi Note 2 with Mi MIX, similarly, the company will launch a new Mi Note smartphone along with the new Mi MIX 2. Notably, as per India Today report, there is also the talk the company may also announce the update to Mi Notebook too on September 11.
The co-founder of Xiaomi, Lin Bin, on Friday, posted a teaser image of the Mi Note 3. The company executive also confirmed that the upcoming Mi Note 3 will be a larger version of the recently announced flagship phone the Mi 6. Going by the teaser, Mi Note 3, the successor of the last year’s Mi Note 2, will come in three colours — two shades of blue and the third one will be black. Apart from the teaser image, Xiaomi also shared a teaser video of the Mi Note 3 on Friday.
If going by the rumours, Mi Note 3 is expected to follow the dual-camera set up-up. The smartphone as confirmed by the co-founder himself will be a bigger version of the Mi6 which sports 5.15-inch display. As per rumours the upcoming Mi Note 3 will feature 5.7-inch QHD curved AMOLED display.
Moreover, the Mi Note 3 is expected to be released in two variants one with 6GB of RAM and 128GB storage and the second one will be a high-end one and is expected to come with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. As per India report, the Xiaomi smartphone is expected to run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system with the latest version of MIUI 9. Mi Note 3 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 processor and will sport a 4070mAh. The phone will also come with a quick charge 4.0 fast charging technology.
Pricing details of the Mi Note 3 leaked a few days ago. As per the rumours, the 6GB RAM variant is expected to be priced around $599 which roughly translates to Rs 38,893. On the other hand, the 8GB RAM variant of the Mi Note 3 is expected to come with a price tag of $699, which is roughly around Rs 45,333.
