Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi is offering Redmi Note 3 for free during its MiPL (Mi Premier League) cricket festival. The MiPL starts today and will go on till May 29, announced the company.
“Play cricket game win free Redmi Note 3 form May 16 to May 19,” says Xiaomi’s India website. Users will first need to download the Mi Store App, in order to start playing. Also, those who already have the app on their smartphones will have to upgrade to the latest version.
Xiaomi had earlier put out a tweet, informing the same. “Let’s hit it off together, just Mi and You! Stay tuned on May 16th,” Xiaomi said in a tweet.
Earlier on May 13, Xiaomi updated its YI Action Camera with 4K video recording feature. The new features enabled it of shooting 4K videos at 30fps, full HD videos at 120fps and HD videos at 240fps. The new camera had a Sony made 12MP image sensor with 160 degree wide angle lens.
Xiaomi will also launch Mi Band 2 next month after delaying it for over 2 months due to production issues.
On May 10, Xiaomi had launched Mi Max — with the largest screen in its line-up to date — and MIUI 8, the next generation of its Android-based operating system (OS).
Xiaomi Mi Max sports 6.44-inch supersized screen with sunlight display that delivers accurate colours even in bright conditions, claims company. It comes with a large 4,850mAh battery that can support up to 14 hours of streaming video (via Wi-Fi) in a single charge, the company said in a statement.
The 7.5mm metal body smartphone has curved edges and 2.5D front glass surface. It comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 650/652 processor which is powered by six or eight Cortex A72 and A53 cores.
