Imagine opening the door of your house, only to have Flipkart’s co-founder and CEO Binny Bansal to deliver your new Apple iPhone 7! Gaurav in Bengaluru’s HSR had this once in a lifetime experience. Adding a personal touch to its deliveries, Flipkart’s Binny Bansal delivered the e-commerce giant’s first Apple iPhone 7 within 30 minutes of the smartphone’s launch. “First happy customer – Gaurav from HSR. 30 mins after launch at his home. He is super delighted,” tweeted Binny Bansal, sharing an image of himself and the iPhone 7 owner.

Flipkart customer Preeti also had the new iPhone 7, which she had ordered for her husband Gaurav, personally delivered by Binny Bansal. “Second delivery. A gift from Preeti to her hubby Saurabh. They exchanged their old iPhone 6 and got 18k discount !! #makingthe7affordable,” he said in another tweet. “99% of all the customer are getting their iPhone 7 delivered within 2 hrs of launch. Incredible job by our supply chain team !!” he said. It appears that Bansal chose to deliver the new iPhone 7 along with the Flipkart’s ‘wishmaster’. Wishmasters are actually Flipkart’s field executives. “On my way with our wishmaster Shankar to deliver the just launched Iphone 7 #deliveringthe7at7,” Bansal tweeted along with an image that suggests that he rode on a bike to make the deliveries.

Flipkart said it has prepared itself to make deliveries to customers from 1900 hrs onwards today. “Delivery executives are fanning out across key cities in India to surprise several lucky customers at the exact time when the clock strikes seven,” Flipkart said in a statement. Apple’s iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus were launched today evening in India, and companies are seeking to encash on the popularity of the smartphone series.

Snapdeal has tied up with American Express to offer card members of the bank a discount of Rs 10,000 on the purchase of the iPhone 7. Tata CliQ is offering its customers Rs 10,000 deferred cashback with HDFC credit and debit cards (issued in India).

Seeking to cash in on the demand for the newly launched Apple iPhone 7 in India, Reliance Jio has launched a special offer giving complimentary Jio Digital Life for 12 months. All buyers of iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus and iPhone SE will get complimentary Reliance Jio Service worth Rs 18,000 for 1 year. This Rs 18,000 includes 20GB data and unlimited SMS for one year, apart from free voice calls, which is standard for all users for the network. All new iPhone users on Jio network can avail this offer from January 1 next year after their ‘welcome plan’ expires on December 31, 2016.

Now, those who buy any iPhone from a Reliance Retail or Apple store and use the Jio connection will get the ‘Welcome Offer’ free till December 31 and after that from January 1, 2017 they will get the Rs 1,499 plan free for 1 year. The Rs 1,499 plan includes unlimited local and STD voice calling and national roaming, 4G Data of up to 20 GB, unlimited 4G data at night, 40GB of WiFi data, unlimited SMS and unlimited Jio Apps subscription. Reliance is not alone in seeking to lure iPhone buyers into using the Jio network. Bharti Airtel, the incumbent rival of Reliance Jio, is offering 10GB free 4G/3G data per month for one year with any Airtel Infinity post-paid plan. The free data benefit will be over and above the plan benefits, Airtel has said.
