Twitter India Chief Rishi Jaitly on Tuesday quit from his post after four years

Twitter India Chief Rishi Jaitly on Tuesday quit from his post after four years. Jaitly went on the social networking site and announced his retirement from the company and said that building Twitter India network and expanding @Twittermedia across Asia and Middle East was the leadership experience of a lifetime. He announced his resignation and said that after four years he was finally moving on to new opportunities but with the same mission of harnessing media’s scale to connect users to their voice, agency or leadership in places they care about.

He further said that he cared deeply about the United States of America and India and their respective emerging markets. He said that he intended to devote himself to the building of bridges in the service of his mission. He informed Twitter users that he would be spending most of his time in Chicago due to personal and other reasons. Although, he also said that that he would be spending a significant amount of time in India/Asia, trying to draw on his past to further future technology’s promise.

He then turned to mention his colleagues at Twitter India and thanked them for leaning into the global opportunity. He thanked the Twitter teams of the Asia Pacific, Middle East for fueling him throughout the 4 years. Lastly, he thanked Twitter users and official partners in India, Asia and said that he was highly inspired by them for believing the “mobile microphone” that Twitter is.
