Samsung Gear VR priced in India at Rs 8,200 was launched Thursday and it will enable users to augment and personalise their entertainment experience – gadget is available at all Samsung retail chains and on e-commerce website Flipkart.
The device is compatible with Galaxy smartphones, including Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6 edge+, S6 and S6 edge.
Users can download and play over 150 games from the Oculus Store on the headset.
The Gear VR has a trackpad, back button along with motion sensors offering gyroscopic and acceleration functions.
“The Gear VR presents the unique opportunity for consumers to get an immersive, interactive Virtual Reality experience. Samsung will be at the forefront of this exciting revolution to create further ‘wow’ moments in our consumers’ lives,” said Manu Sharma, director, marketing IT & Mobile at Samsung India, during a media interaction here.
