Samsung will announce the launch of Samsung Galaxy Note 8, its latest flagship smartphone today. The event called Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2017 will likely see a lot of announcements. The event will host a press conference in New York on Wednesday. In India, you will be able to catch the live streaming of event from 8:30 PM. The Galaxy Note 8 has been a highly anticipated smartphone in the market. Rumours and leaks related to the device have been doing the rounds for a long time now. Samsung has already confirmed that the Galaxy Note 8 will be unveiled at the event, as its press invite showed a silhouette of the device. According to initial reactions, the phone looks a lot like the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus, just a little bit bigger. While we wait for the event to start, here is a quick look at what you can expect from the event and the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 phone, based on the rumours.

S Pen

It is the hallmark of Samsung Galaxy Note smartphones. The company must have really worked hard to upgrade the feature, popularly known as a stylus. Now, you will be able to digitally write and colour on the screen with more accuracy. The tech giant had already done a great job by finding new ways to use the S Pen. One of them includes allowing users to take notes on the display even when it’s off.

Camera, display and design

The company had confirmed that the Galaxy Note 8 will feature a design that is quite close to the look of Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus devices. If such a things happen, we will see a smartphone with a really big screen. We will also miss the physical home button on the front but get a fingerprint sensor at the rear end. Reports have suggested that the Galaxy Note 8 will be curved devices. According to the leaks and rumours, the smartphone’s display will be 6.3 inches, which makes it just 0.1-inch longer than the Galaxy S8 Plus’ 6.2-inch screen. Meanwhile, to give you an idea, the Galaxy S8 has a 5.8-inch display. However, the camera will be the biggest game-changer for Note 8. Reports have said that an innovative camera on the Galaxy Note 8 may just outdo the popular Galaxy S8. The latter has one of the best cameras on the premium smartphone market. The Galaxy Note 8 camera will enable portrait-style clicks which phones like the iPhone 7 Plus feature. For more accurate pictures, similar to the Essential phone, the dual cameras may have a black-and-white sensor, apart from a colour sensor.
