Nokia 6, Nokia 5, and Nokia 3 smartphones are set to launch in India today. HMD Global, which now owns, manufactures and sells smartphones under the Nokia brand is hosting an event in Delhi today for the press, and according to the invite, new smartphones will be introduced. HMD Global has unveiled the devices at the Mobile World Congress, earlier this year. However, there are speculations on whether the Finnish company will launch all the three smartphones in India. The media invite says, “Let’s join hands and welcome a new era of Nokia smartphones.” As the invite contains the word ‘smartphones’, it can be expected that all the three Nokia devices will be unveiled today. Also, HMD Global had earlier informed that it will be announcing the whole series of smartphones in the second quarter of 2017.
Meanwhile, the company had already launched the classic Nokia 3310 feature phone in the country earlier. The Nokia 3310 has been selling through offline stores and there has been no exclusive online partnership. If Nokia decides to go the same way for its new smartphones, they may be priced a bit higher than its original price revealed for the EU market. Meanwhile, Nokia 6, Nokia 5 and Nokia 3 are the new smartphones, and all three run pure stock Android 7 Nougat.
