September is here and it is going to be bigger than any of us expected. The force is strong with the smartphone companies as many flagship devices are set to be launched next week. The next few days are not going to be less than a festival for the mobile users as Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 will be launched on September 11 at an event in Beijing followed by the much-awaited Apple iPhone 8 launch on September 12, the same date when Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will make its grand entry to the Indian market. Not just this, Apple will also launch the iPhone 7s, iPhone 7s Plus at the event, which takes place in the Steve Jobs Theater in the new Apple Park campus in Cupertino, California. So, here is a detailed look at all the devices on offer:

1. Apple iPhone 8

Undoubtedly the most awaited smartphone right now. Since iPhone 8 is being released on the 10th anniversary of Apple, expectations are really high for this device. Some media reports have claimed that the phone might be named iPhone Special Edition or iPhone X. Coming to the design, Apple is adopting OLED displays that we’ve seen Samsung use on its flagship phones for quite some time now. It is also getting rid of the Home Button and might use glass design with steel framers on the sides.

Unlike the iPhone 7, iPhone 8 will get significant improvements. In fact, analysts say iPhone 8 could help the Cupertino-based technology giant reach a $1 trillion market valuation. As far as the price goes, iPhone 8 might cost you over Rs 75,000 in India.

2. Xiaomi Mi Mix 2

In a very short span of time, Xiaomi has emerged as one of biggest smartphone sellers, especially in the Asian markets. Xiaomi Mi Mix was one of the first smartphones to feature an edge-to-edge display with a 92 per cent screen-to-body ratio, though it never launched in markets outside of China. Now, Xiaomi is set to release Mi Mix 2 on September 11. The company has hired the same French designer Philippe Starck who worked on the original Mi Mix, and this time the phone could have screen-to-body ratio of 93 per cent.

As far the initial details provided by the company, Mi Mix 2 can have Snapdragon 835 processor, 6GB RAM, 256GB storage and a dual-camera setup. The phone will be initially launched in China and it will be interesting to see when it makes to the Indian market.

3. Samsung Galaxy Note 8

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is set to make its India debut on September 12 and will give a tough fight to Apple. The high-end smartphone which is priced at $930 in the US, is likely to cost you somewhere around Rs 70,000 in India. The pre-registration for the phone has already started. It will be interesting to see if the 64GB and 128GB storage variants are both launched together. It features 12MP cameras on the back and promising 2X optical zoom. The other interesting thing about the Galaxy Note 8 is the 3300mAh battery, which is much smaller than the 3500 battery on the ill-fated Galaxy Note 7.
