Just two days after Apple announced its new Apple iPhone models: iPhone 8, iPhone 8 plus and iPhone X, it has some more good news for its users. According to a report by The Indian Express, Apple has announced that iOS 11 will be available for download on September 19. The latest update was first announced at Apple’s annual WWDC conference in June, with major improvements over its predecessor – iOS 10. Apple has hailed this new update by calling it a giant leap for iPhone and a monumental leap of the iPad.
All the current Apple product users will be able to download iOS 11 on September 19, exactly 10 days before the new Apple phones will be available in India. The recently announced iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 plus will be up for sale in India from September 29. The iPhone X, meanwhile, will be made available in India on November 3.
As far as the improvements go, the iOS 11 is likely to have redesigned Control Center and App store, new Messages features, Do Not Disturb While Driving feature, smarter Siri, better camera and photos, and much more. It will also have many new features exclusively for the iPad. These features mostly focus on productivity and utility, making the iPad a far better device for work.
Apple has already confirmed that iPhone 8 and 8 Plus will be available for Rs 64,000 onwards in India whereas the iPhone X starts at Rs 89,000. The latest installment from Apple will compete against the ‘Note 8’ of Samsung that will be available in India from September 21 for Rs 67,900.
The iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus (available in 64GB and 256GB variants) will reach countries like the US on September 22 but will be available at Apple resellers in India from September 29, Apple had said in a statement.
