Apple Watch Series 3 launch: Smartphone giant Apple on Tuesday unveiled the new Apple Watch 3. Apple’s new Watch comes with a built-in cellular service. The feature makes it possible that phone will be the same as your iPhone. The new model, Watch Series 3 will also have Apple Music available through cellular service. “Now, you can go for a run with just your watch,” Jeff Williams, Apple’s chief operating officer and in charge of Watch development was quoted as saying.
Tim Cook started the event by paying tribute to iconic cofounder Steve Jobs by saying that the Apple community is still thinking about him daily, however, it has gotten to a point where people can reflect on him with joy instead of sadness now. The of Apple Watch Series 3 unveiling took place at a media event which is the first in the Steve Jobs Theater at Apple’s new ‘spaceship’ campus in Cupertino.
Apple has added more fitness features to the new Watch. The company says it is now the most used heartrate monitor in the world. Now, the new watch will notify users when it detects an elevated heart rate when they don’t appear to be active. It’ll also detect abnormal heart rhythms. The latest watch will start at $399. The one which come without cellular feature goes for $329, down from $369 for the comparable model now. The original Series 1, without GPS, sells for $249, down from $269. The new watch comes out Sept. 22.
