Apple Watch launch: Apple Watch, the top-selling watch in the world has launched its new version at the media event in San Francisco on September 7. The number 2 brand for watches globally, will also feature the popular game Pokemon Go. Apple CEO Tim Cook while unveiling the watch said that it is a favourite amongst it s customers. The market for smartwatches is relatively small as admitted by Cook himself. Interestingly FitBit still leads in that area when it comes to combination with activity trackers. Tim Cook said that people have been using the previous version of the ‘Watch’ since the last 18 months when it was first introduced in ‘many aspects of their lives’ like Apple Pay, Health applications. Apple COO Jeff Williams also came on stage for the unveiling of the new Watch.
The new Apple Watch is ‘Swinproof’, while the previous version was just ‘Splashproof’. It is water resistant up to 50 metres. Interestingly, the brand new speakers will push out the water. Williams talked about the updates in the new upgraded WatchOS 3 which has the new touch keyboard and a new SOS feature. Aiming for a new push in this area, there are many new app launches in the Watch OS 3, which was not a thing in the last version. The hardware for the Pokemon Plus will be shipped later in S. In fact, the game will also show how far the user has walked to ‘hatch eggs’ and it will be recorded as a workout. The new iPhone has a brighter display that the previous version, at 1000 nits. The Watch has better CPU specifications and the GPU is a lot more quicker. CPU and GPU much faster. The built-in GPS also connects to satellites very quickly.
