Apple is celebrating the 10th anniversary of its iPhone, and it is expected that the company will bring a great new iPhone 8 this year. The leaks and rumours about the Apple iPhone 8 have been the talk of the town for quite some time now. Now, international magazine Forbes has released images of the much talked about the design of iPhone 8. This gives us a much better look at what the smartphone may look like, and for now, it appears that this device will be unlike any other iPhone that has launched in the past. Forbes’ Gordon Kelly worked with iPhone case designer firm Nodus, and they have visualised the final iPhone 8 design. This based on CAD files from the supply chain, says the report and Nodus are currently working on case designs for iPhone 8. The leak comes even as Apple has talked about how it is trying to crack down on leaks.
The report, which also carries designs of the Apple iPhone 8, says the new iPhone will not have any bezels at all, something that has been talked about earlier as well. Apple will completely eliminate bezels on the display. Previously Ming Chi-Kuo, an analyst with KGI Securities had said Apple iPhone 8 will have the highest screen-to-body ratio seen in any smartphone. It will have a 5.8-inch display, but Apple will leave some space for the front facing camera, sensor, adds the new report. Additionally, iPhone 8 won’t sport a horizontally aligned dual rear camera, but a vertical one. According to the report, the reason for this design change is the push into AR. The report adds the Lightning port will remain, but the headphone jack remains gone for now.
Meanwhile, Kuo had posted his 10 predictions for the iPhone 8, which is expected to be revealed this. According to the report by Kuo, posted on the Street Insider website, the iPhone 8 may not have the famous fingerprint scanner embedded within the display screen.Kuo reasons, that the technology needs ‘a more complex panel and pixel design’ for the OLED. According to the new leak, Apple will roll out 3 variants of the iPhone: 5.2-inch or 5.8-inch depending upon the bezel-less OLED, and 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch models with LCD display. This leak is not new because others reports too have suggested the same.
