Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO went on social networking site, hours before the launch of Apple’s new iPhone 7 and tweeted about being ready for the big day with the picture of the rising Sun in San Francisco. Cook took over as the CEO of Apple, following the death of Steve Jobs. The Cupertino-based tech giants are all set to launch the new iPhone 7 on Wednesday. Apple has seen a decrease in sales in the past few years since the death of founder Steve Jobs and is looking to reestablish its hold on the global market. Apple will also launch the Apple watch 2, which will be running on the new watchOS 3 operating system. The Apple iPhone 7 is also expected to come with major upgrades, including a dual camera on the rear of the phone.
Earlier today, Twitter was seen coming up with an Apple emoji. The emoji could be seen when a user typed #AppleEvent on the microblogging site. While it is unsure if the two companies have collaborated for this advertising venture, it definitely does help both companies to feed off of each other’s goodwill. though Apple’s recent activity on the microblogging site after being dormant for years does indicate the company’s last-minute attempts to get back the stronghold it once had in the market.
