Apple iPhone 7 launch: Taking the wraps off the latest iteration of the iPhones, Apple CEO Tim Cook today said, “iPhone is the industry gold standard…it has transformed the way we do things every day.” “We have now sold over a billion of iPhones…it is the best-selling product of its kind in the history of the world,” Cook said. The iPhone 7 Plus, as was widely expected, boasts of a dual rear camera. Both the iPhones will run on iOS 10. The phones are up for pre-orders from September 9 and will be on sale in US from September 16. The base variant (32 GB) for iPhone 7 starts at $649; iPhone 7 Plus starts at $769. The iPhone 7 and 7 Plus also boast of new stereo speakers. The new iPhone comes with Ear Pods with Lightning connector, as well as a 3.5 mm headphone jack adapter that allows one to use old headphones and accessories.
