Amazon has launched an update which now let users to share previews of books and text snippets to apps like Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp or via text message.

According to thenextweb.com, this is for first time Amazon is allowing readers to share via a messaging platform.

Sharing quotes, highlights and recommendations to Facebook and Twitter was already available to Kindle users.

Users receiving a recommendation from a Kindle owner can start reading a preview of the book on their mobile devices or desktop. To read preview of the book does not require the Kindle app or even an Amazon account.

The change will be released on Kindle Android app first and the update released to the Kindle reader and other devices later this year.
