Apple was not happy with the hype that Apple iPhone 7 and 7 Plus has created. Maybe this is the reason why it has come out with a new TV commercial which is creating more buzz than the iPhone itself! The 30-second video is presented entirely in black and white, and offers barely a glimpse at the iPhone 7’s coveted design. Perhaps the people behind the ad have assumed you’ve already seen enough of the new smartphone and its stark Jet Black finish. There’s the menacing stare of a night owl, an antler in the wild, water black like ink, and professional boxers.
There are som quick shots of the iPhone 7 chassis behind rain drops, teasing its IPX7 waterproofing rating. The iPhone 7 Plus dual-camera system is also briefly visible. The ad, which Apple simply names ‘iPhone 7’ on its YouTube channel, takes a very different tone than most Apple’s commercials. The video is entirely black and white which gives it a very different feel. The ad ends with a glimpse of the phone behind a star field and a screen showing the release date: “9.16.16”.
