Bengaluru-based recruitment start-up Belong has raised $5 million in its Series A round from Matrix Partners,  Blume Ventures and an array of tech-founders, including Kunal Bahl and Rohit Bansal, co-founders, Snapdeal, Phanindra Sama, co-founder, redBus, and Raju Reddy, founder, Sierra Atlantic. “We plan to invest heavily in our team and technology. We intend to triple-down on our product and focus majorly on our data sciences, R&D and engineering in the coming months.” said Vijay Sharma, co-founder and CEO, Belong.

Belong lists Ola, Zivame, Practo, Snapdeal, redBus, Xiaomi as clients on its website.

Snapdeal’s ‘special e-commerce zone’ in HP

Snapdeal has partnered with the Himachal Pradesh government to launch India’s first special e-commerce zone at Dharamshala. As a part of this programme, the online marketplace will start workshops, pick-up facilities, etc, apart from  setting up a technology lab.
