Rupa Publications India has announced the launch of Maven, its business imprint, in February this year. The imprint will publish the most ambitious and essential books on business and economics, spanning from leadership and entrepreneurship, business strategy and marketing, personal finance and investing to economic policy and public finance.
Original and thought-provoking, these books will change the way business books are conceived, written and published in the country, claims the publisher.
“Maven is being launched at a time when India is on the cusp of becoming an economic super power. It has been conceived with the Indian reader on mind. Our publishing will be focused, inspiring, insightful and informative. Maven intends to become the most influential business imprint in the country,” says Rupa Publications managing director Kapish Mehra.
The new imprint houses a distinguished list of authors, all practitioners and domain leaders, who bring their expert knowledge to readers in an accessible and thoughtful manner. Some of the books planned for this year are Mantras for Success: India’s Greatest CEOs Tell You How to Win by Suhel Seth; How to Help an Elephant Make a U-turn by GK Jayaram; The Power of Women: 30 Stories of Success by Naina Lal Kidwai; Six Pillars of Leadership by R Gopalakrishnan; Future Perfect: Innovating to the Cutting Edge by Kiran Karnik; Indian Family Business Mantras by Tatwamasi Dixit and Peter Leach; Katha: The Power of Storytelling in Business and Management by Shoba Narayan; What India’s Best Marketers Do Differently edited by Anisha Motwani; and The Fundamentalists: Czars of the Stock Markets by Pravin Palande, among others.
