Reliance Jio welcome offer (JWO) under which Mukesh Ambani’s new company is offering free connection and data, as well as voice services, to its subscribers will end on December 3. Earlier, the company had promised that JWO would be available until December 31.
However, the end of JWO doesn’t mean that you will stop getting free Reliance Jio services immediately. You will continue to enjoy the Jio services free of cost till December 31, if you subscribe to the JWO by December 3, according to the company.
Earlier in a message to operators like Bharti Airtel, Idea Cellular and Telenor, the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India had said on Thursday, “The revised offer of free services by RJIL has been limited to 90 days ie up to 03.12.2016 and, therefore is consistent with the guidelines on promotional offers.”
For consumers, who would fail to subscribe to the JWO by December 3, they will be able to subscribe to new offers and also enjoy the attractive tariff plans being offered by the company. Reliance Jio plans to continue offering attractive data plans.
Earlier, we had reported that Reliance Jio has also kept a window open to continue offering free services beyond December 31. In a statement on Thursday, the Reliance Industries had said, “Reliance Jio may extend the period of free services in case its subscribers are not able to get adequate experience of seamless connectivity across network due to interconnection congestion and the quality of service parameters are not as per the benchmarks desired by the Reliance Jio management.”
